北谷と那覇ブラ

みなさま、こんにちは。週末、いかがお過ごしですか☆  きのうは恩納村から南へGOOOO！ 北谷（ちゃたん）と那覇のサタデーでした

北谷といえば、今まで58号線沿いのアメリカンヴィレッジあたりしか知らなかったのですが、きのうは少し離れたエリアへ。ランチは、ベジフレンドリー（菜食メニューあり）なブリトー屋さんにて。まわりは閑静な住宅街ですが、小さなカフェやレストランもちらほらと。このエリアはベース（米軍基地）が近いため、アメリカンな雰囲気もありますネ。今度ゆっくり散策してみたいなぁ。そして、目の前は海ですヨ！ すごい炎天下で、数分歩いただけで、頭からけむりがでそうです〜（;´▽｀A``

ブリトー屋さんは、海に面した小道にありました

北谷のあとは、那覇へGOOOO！ 久しぶりの那覇ぶらですYO。あいにく写真はほとんど撮らずじまいでしたが、国際通りの近くに新しい屋台村が出来ていたり、三越の跡地に新しい商業施設ができていたり、ゆいレール（モノレール）の切符システムが変わっていたり、、、と、新しいことづくめでした！ ふだん村暮らしのわたしたちですから、なおのこと（ひゃー♡）。 壺屋通りにもかわいいお店がいくつか出来ておりまして、今度またチェキチェキしたいです。ちなみにきのうは、鳥が描かれた緑色の輪花皿を１枚入手

なお、わたしたちが "づくめ" だったのは「新しいもの」だけではございませんで。。。ある意味「珍事件」づくめな１日・・・（とほ〜）。しかしながら夫くんいわく、わたしにまつわるものばかりとのこと。夫「オラは蚊に刺されただけだったけど（←夫は蚊にめっぽう弱い。。。）、◎◎（←わたし）は iPhoneをなくしたでしょ、◯に間違われたでしょ、沖縄の人にも間違われたでしょ」というのが夫の言い分です！でも、壺屋通りの蚊取り線香？のにおいに、喜びの反応を示していた夫も、わたしからすれば十分に「珍事件」だった気がいたします・・・（はは♡）

と、いろいろございましたが、やっぱり楽しい那覇ブラでした！ 那覇の街中でなくし一度はあきらめた iPhoneですが、幸運にも見つかりましたし、ナイトキャップのワインも美味しかった。おわりよければすべて良し、なサタデーです

とっても濃くてフルティーな赤。ふつうは１本の葡萄樹に8房のぶどうを育てる？らしいのですが、このワインは２房に制限して作られたそうなのです。美味しかった♡ KALDIで買いました

てん to てん（那覇市）

みなさま、3連休ゆったりとお過ごしになりましたでしょうか

恩納村に住んでおりますと、那覇へ行く機会もそう多くはありません（普段、南下しても、せいぜい宜野湾か浦添どまりなのですヨ〜）。そこで、きのうは久しぶりに那覇へ！ 沖縄そばとあまがしのお店【てん to てん】さんへ伺いました

お店は、見晴らしもよい那覇市識名エリアにあります。細〜い道をハラハラ通り抜け到着するも、駐車場は満車。「わ」ナンバー100% 。。。ということは、観光客の方に人気のようですネ。すこし離れたところへ車を停め、お店を目指して閑静な住宅街を歩きます。まだまだ蒸し暑い沖縄。。。汗だくです！

ふと一面緑に包まれたお宅が視界に現れました。「わぁ、素敵♡」と見入っておりましたら、なんとこちらが【てん to てん】さん・・・☆  お店の名前は「点と点」＝「人と人を結びたい」という想いが込められているそうです

座席数は60ほど。手前と奥にお部屋があり、わたしたちは奥へ案内されました

メニューには、てん to てんさんを守る草花たちが描かれていますヨ

昔の沖縄そばを今も伝える【木灰すば】（もっかいそば）はパワーいっぱい。はじめていただく食感です

【セット】には古代米おにぎりと肉みそつき（←美味しい！）

（セットの）食後には、沖縄の伝統あまがし

ほんのりと甘い♡ ほっとします

通常、沖縄そばの麺は「小麦粉・塩・かん水」で作られることが多いそうです。戦前は、当時高価であった「かん水」の代わりに「木灰」＝ガジュマルやデイゴなどの樹木灰、を水で解かした上澄み液が使われていたそう。その昔ながらの方法を今の時代も受け継いでいるのが【木灰そば】だそうです。普段食べ慣れた沖縄そばとは、一線を画す価値あるおそばでした◎ ごちそうさまでした

◎おまけ◎

ひさしぶりに那覇の街中へ。ゆいレールに乗ったのも、あんなにたくさんの人を見たのも久しぶりでした（たは♡）。那覇で（できたら）立ち寄りたいのが、国際通りにある【久高民藝店】さん☆

今回は6寸皿を1枚いただきました。読谷・かねき陶房 菊地穣さんの作品で、温もりのある丁寧なつくりのお皿です（菊地さんは、大嶺實清先生のお弟子さんだそう、、、ガッテンガッテン）。2枚目は、次回の楽しみにとっておきます！

i am working from monday to friday so i like saturdays. my countdown of the days till saturday officially starts from wednesday. 

on wed, three more days of hard work. on thu, two more day of hard work. on fri, lucky me, just today!

kazuto and i went to naha city for a first-month inspection of our car, then, headed to kokusai-dori for the naha giant tug of war fest. we saw the back of Mickey and Minnie during the parade. literally just their backs from afar and maybe a slight look of their side faces. a bunch of little kids and elder ladies were dancing to their songs. turned out that the tug of war was scheduled for tomorrow. ah! anyway!

today started out with no plan but ended lovely. here are some memoirs of the day. 

the okinawa prefectural art museum: there was a "kanemasa ashimine exhibition" titled "poetry in green" (安次嶺金正展 緑の抒情). the greens kanehisa painted were strong and beautiful. he made me deepen the already present fondness towards the color. green has never been better.

kudaka-mingei-ten (久高民藝店) : one of my most fav shops in okinawa. located on kokusai dori, i think this shop is similar to kogensha (光原社) in morioka and sendai, specializing in beautiful handcrafted ceramics, glassware, jewelries, cloths, and more. i can fall in love with everything at this shop! got two traditional okinawan glasses. 

the well-known market street in downtown naha. so many narrow streets running in every direction. a super spider web!

minatogawa stateside town: there were a bunch of old foreign houses converted into small cute shops like cafes, bakeries, restaurants etc. all the streets are named after the us states such as florida, texas, nevada, indiana etc. it's nice to wander around with super friendly neighborhood cats.

oHacorte (オハコルテ): a popular pastry in minatogawa specializing in tarts. got there about 1.5 hr before they close. but fruits tarts supposedly their specialty were all sold out, beautifully swept away from their glass container! 

instead we had a chocolate tart and a fruit sand tart. the chocolate tasted like the chocolate inside choco cornets and brought back some childhood memoirs. 

remember choco cornets? even named after cornets, i always thought they were swirl shells. when i was little, i used to suck the chocolate off the bread (excuse me!) or release the swirl when eating them (yeah). as a child, i believed that was the best way to eat them. as an adult, i still do believe so. 

well, this further reminds me that i like eating baumkuchens layer by layer (excuse me again!). some of you may agree with me on this forbidden joy.
